Phonak EON is Phonak's newest hearing aid platform and the third generation of Audéo Sphere technology. It builds on the speech-in-noise performance of Infinio Sphere while introducing a substantially smaller and lighter design, upgraded automatic processing, stronger wind-noise management, and native Auracast support. The platform is organized around three primary benefits: adaptive clarity, unlimited connectivity, and intuitive design, and it supports hearing losses ranging from mild through profound.
Key Features of Phonak EON
Better Speech Understanding in Noise
At the core of EON is Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, which uses dedicated AI processing to separate speech from background noise, enhance the speech signal, and reintegrate it for clearer listening in difficult environments. Phonak reports up to 50 percent better speech understanding compared with advanced directional microphone technology, along with up to 37 percent less listening effort. Wearers are also up to twice as likely to understand speech coming from any direction. Notably, this speech-in-noise technology is now available across three performance levels rather than only the top two.
Smaller and Lighter Design
EON is 25 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter than the previous Sphere generation, all in a standard-size rechargeable receiver-in-canal form factor. It comes in eight color options so you can choose a look that suits you.
More Intelligent Automatic Processing
AutoSense OS AI 8.0 and APD 4.0 are designed to react more quickly and intelligently as your listening environment changes, preserving clarity and sound quality without requiring you to manually switch programs. The system adapts faster between quiet and noisy settings, improves the signal-to-noise ratio during sudden changes, and keeps Spheric Speech Clarity active in more situations than before.
WindBlock 2.0
For anyone who spends time outdoors, WindBlock 2.0 reduces microphone turbulence while preserving access to speech and environmental sound. It provides up to 50 dB of wind-noise reduction while preserving up to 30 dB of signal-to-noise ratio benefit. In Phonak testing, more than 90 percent of participants preferred WindBlock 2.0 for naturalness, and the feature is available across all performance levels.
Battery and Charging
EON delivers more than all-day battery performance, with up to approximately 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and time in noisy environments. A full charge from zero to 100 percent takes approximately 2.5 hours, and an optional portable charging case with its own built-in battery keeps you powered when you are away from home.
Bluetooth, Roger, and Auracast
The Era connectivity chip supports broad Bluetooth compatibility and allows the hearing aids to function as a hands-free headset for calls and video conferencing. EON is compatible with a wide range of phones, computers, tablets, and televisions, and it supports RogerDirect for compatible Phonak remote microphones. Native Auracast support lets you connect to public audio broadcasts in venues like airports, theaters, museums, houses of worship, and conference centers. EON works with the myPhonak and myPhonak Junior apps.
